Having a table reservation or guestlist placement changes everything. It signals to the door that you're expected. Walk up to the door, give your name, and you're in. It's that simple.

Guestlist: Guaranteed or priority entry without a table. Also bookable through us.
Walk-up: Possible at some venues, risky at others. We wouldn't recommend it on a Friday or Saturday at the top venues.

3. Group Composition

Mayfair clubs generally prefer mixed groups — men and women together. A group of six guys with no booking is going to have a harder time than a mixed group of the same size. It's not universal, but it's a pattern.

What Time to Arrive

Timing matters:

10:00 — 11:00pm: Doors open. If you're on guestlist, this is ideal. Shorter queues, easier entry.
11:00pm — midnight: The sweet spot. Venues are filling up but you'll still get in smoothly with a booking.
After midnight: Guestlist entry gets tighter. Tables are still fine. Walk-ups become significantly harder.
After 1:00am: Late arrival is risky for guestlist at the busiest venues. If you're not booked, your chances drop fast.

The Mistakes That Get People Turned Away

Wrong shoes. Trainers at a Mayfair club is the fastest way to stay outside. Even designer ones.
Large male-only groups with no booking. Book a table or guestlist. Don't gamble.
Arriving too late. After 1am on a Saturday without a booking is a gamble at most venues.
Being rude to door staff. They have the power. Be polite. Always.
Being visibly drunk. Every venue will turn away people who are already too far gone. Pace yourself before you arrive.
